Lizzi was born in Lancashire before moving to rural Cumbria as a child and has lived in the Lancaster district for fifteen years. She is married with two kids. Previously working in catering then public health, Lizzi worked supporting relatives of people with severe mental illnesses until the birth of her second child and now works in project management.

Lizzi says, “After leaving school at 15, I worked for many years in catering. This experience of low pay, hard work and poor conditions is part of what drives me to be active in the Labour Party.

“I believe in a country where people are supported to thrive. Where people have a good education, a decent job, a warm home and the makings of a good life. Unfortunately as a direct result of the Conservative Government, not everyone in Lancaster East has that.”

What I offer to Lancaster East

I have represented Lancaster East since 2016 and it has been a great pleasure and an honour to serve my community. I work hard, I’m an active councillor and I have helped many people get solutions to their problems.

As a County Councillor I have made great changes for Lancaster East, introducing bus services, protecting children’s education, fighting for our NHS and standing up for my residents. I advocate for my constituents without fear or favour, no matter who’s in power. I hope to be part of a Labour County Council so I can enact our policies and make improvements for people across Lancashire.
