Erica holds regular surgeries and can be found talking to residents most weekends. She helped found the South Lancaster Flood Action Group and flood risk alleviation and mitigation continues to be one of her priorities.

For more than 20 years, Erica has been a Labour, union and community activist, working hard in grassroots campaigns and contributing to local and national community service and advocacy organisations. Erica is a member of her UCU branch committee, a trainer for the Labour Women’s Network and a member of the LGA Labour women’s taskforce looking at practical work to address the barriers to women being successful councillors. Erica is also volunteers nationally and internationally with the YWCA, one of the world’s largest and oldest women’s organisations.

When not doing Labour or Council things Erica is trying to grow vegetables, sing in a choir, and finish her latest crochet project. But she always has time to read.

Her page on the City Council website can be found here.
