Anna is a hard-working, dedicated campaigner for equal rights and an end to poverty. She came to Lancaster in 2011 as a Mathematics student at Lancaster University and has lived in Lancaster City centre ever since. Lancaster is a city where she fell in love, and a city she fell in love with. “From my first day in Lancaster, I knew it was a special place where I could be myself and build a life”.

Currently, Anna is training in psychology to become a therapist. She is passionate about eliminating mental health stigma and advocating for those with mental health conditions.

Having won awards both locally and nationally for her equality campaigning work, Anna has a strong record of advocating for people and delivering meaningful change. As a member of the local Labour team since 2015, she’s had hundreds of conversations with residents, and this gives her a keen awareness of the issues faced by people throughout Lancaster – be they big or small.
