How to register to vote in Lancaster or Wyre

Following the introduction of IER in the summer of 2014, each person is required to register to vote individually, rather than by household. This must be done if you have moved your address since your last registration. You can register to vote if you are 17 years old. However, you can only vote when you become 18.

If you are not sure if you are already registered correctly, please contact your local electoral registration office.

The assumption is that you register online, any time, at, for which you need your National Insurance number.

Some local authorities do provide a telephone registration service - you can contact your local registration office to find out, or you can ask them to send you a registration form.
