Lancaster and Fleetwood held a Special CLP Meeting to nominate Leader and Deputy Leader candidates on the afternoon of 1st February 2020. 124 members were in attendance and nominated Rebecca Long-Bailey for Leader and Dawn Butler for Deputy Leader.

Long-Bailey received 76 votes in the first count and Butler received 79 votes, meaning both were nominated without a second count.

The CLP also nominated Lauren Townsend and Mohammed Azam, as well as Mehmood Mirza, in the NEC by-elections for two CLP representatives and one BAME representative, respectively.
